The Modern Olympics

At Latifa School we study Medicine Through the Time in Year 10.  This involves the girls investigating  medicine in Ancient Greece.  In 2004 the school planned a whole school event to celebrate the Olympic Games being held in Athens for the first time since the very first games of the modern revival of the Olympics in 1896.

The History department decided our contribution to the celebrations would be a website that linked our study of Greek medicine with the topic of the Olympic Games.  We believed this site would be of interest to other students at the school and to a wider audience.

We hope you enjoy looking at what we've produced.
