It has been decided that students of all Government schools, including Latifa School for Girls and Rashid School for Boys, will start the new academic year after the Eid al Fitr holiday. Return dates are now as follows:

• Maintenance staff return to work as planned in August.
• Catering staff return to work on Sunday, 30th to prepare kitchen (Chef will advise)
• New teaching staff report for induction at 10.45 a.m. on Monday, 31st August
• Admin staff return to work on Tuesday,1st September (skeleton staff required on Sunday, 31st - Mrs Wood will advise)
• Returning teaching staff return to work at 9.00 a.m. on Sunday, 13th September (preterm week will start on this date).
• Year 7 and Year 12 induction will take place prior to Eid, date to be announced.
• Students commence semester 1 after the declared Eid holiday (expected to be approximately 23rd September).
