| Teacher of History |
| We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher interested in teaching History throughout the age and ability range – up to and including Advanced level. Experience of teaching twentieth century world history at A level would be welcome.
The department is very successful and students achieve excellent examination results but we also like to focus on widening our pupils’ horizons and teaching them valuable transferable skills through our study of History. The department has become very involved in using ICT in lessons and we would particularly like to receive applications from candidates who can offer skills in this area. Applicants should possess the ability to communicate their knowledge in a lively manner. They must be willing to work co-operatively and prepared to enjoy the challenge of working with girls for whom English is a second language and whose cultural background is different from their own.
