SELF REVIEW
This is an important first step. In many ways the quality of the whole process will relate to the thought you invest at this early stage. You could either complete a self-evaluation questionnaire yourself or you could involve your mentor.
As part of your self-review you could:
  • complete a self-evaluation questionnaire (examples of which can be found in Appendix A)
  • review and update your C.V. and job profile
  • reflect on your own strengths, skills and areas for development
  • consider which aspects of your role you may wish to focus on and develop as part of the appraisal cycle.

Your self-review may form the basis for your initial meeting with your mentor.
